Incredible $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Represents a Online Gaming GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back with an encore available through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

A regional fantasy map created using the CC3+ software platform.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Complete Collection

For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Viewpoint Enhancement
  • Scene Builder
  • Character Design Module
  • Fantasy Interior Symbols
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Symbol Set 4: Dungeons of Schley
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Monster Token Collection 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • Historical War Maps
  • World Creation Guide
  • Annual Volumes 1-17
  • Permanent CC3+ Access
  • Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Source Maps: Cities!

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
