A 60-day journey through the Land Down Under has been cancelled following the fatal incident of an older female passenger who was abandoned by the ship on a remote tropical isle.

The passenger had been walking on the remote island with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but broke off from the group for a rest. The liner departed without her and returned after some time after the personnel realised the lady was unaccounted for.

An extensive hunt found her body the following day.
